The goal of the Chess Sweeper is to flag all of the mines that are hidden on the board. To figure out where the mines are you can place different chess pieces, but be careful: placing a piece on a mine will cause you to lose.
Each piece will display a number on it corresponding to how many mines it could capture on the next turn of a standard chess game. If no number is displayed that means the piece cannot capture any mines. Both mines and other pieces will obstruct the line of sight of a piece, but flags do not.
